My Bio
I am a finance student from India, who sketches and makes digital paintings as hobby. In spite of a very early start in drawing, I have not had an opportunity for formal education in art and have mostly continued to grow at my slow, lazy pace. As I continued to learn how to draw, time became scarce and traditional sketching, requiring less time and expenditure than other art forms(like oil paintings) became my staple. Not too far back in the past I saw some really neat digital paintings by some amazing artists, which also showed me the capabilities of digital tools. I bought the cheapest possible Wacom and have started this journey of mine.

UPDATE: I have a hectic day job now, but I try to make artworks on weekends. I have had a couple of commissions and am still growing as an artist.

Some of them continue to surprise me and all of them have improved leaps and bounds. I hope DA continues to be interesting to all of us, in this age of instant gratification (read "Instagram" et al). I say this because DA is a very specific community and it might be sometimes easy for those not professionally involved, to get engaged in other more general options (a

I normally do not post journals since I use that time to draw a bit more. As it is, drawing time is hard to come by, with weekdays mostly used up in my internship. So anyway, this journal is mostly to remind myself how much I have traveled in a year of digital art. It will also serve the purpose of telling me years hence, where I was in the past. Why this day for a journal? I submitted my dA Draw it Again piece today and also went out and checked a lot of entries. It was heartening to see how people improve over time. Since I saw a number of people posting their evolution, I choose this day to be a benchmark for my future works and this jou
